HORRIBLE CAR ACCIDENTS

The dictionary defines accident as "an unexpected and undesirable event, a mishap unforeseen and without apparent cause. There were an estimated 6,420,000 cars involved in accidents in the US in 2005. The cost of these accidents exceeds 230 Billion dollars. There were about 2.9 million injury cases and 42,636 car accident deaths. An average of 115 persons die each day in motor vehicle crashes in the United States -- one every 13 minutes. According to the World Health Organization about 3000 people die in crashes each day worldwide. Most accidents are not accidents at all: they are collisions that could and should have been avoided. Four main factors cause accidents which are Equipment Failure, Roadway Design, Poor Roadway Maintenance and the most important of all is the Driver Behavior. So we must drive very carefully considering all these factors .

MAGICS OF BERMUDA TRIANGLE

The Bermuda Triangle, also known as the Devil's Triangle, is a region of the northwestern Atlantic Ocean in which a number of aircraft and surface vessels have disappeared. Some people have claimed that these disappearances fall beyond the boundaries of human error or acts of nature.Since that time there have been hundreds of disappearances in the area.It has been that the "Devil's Triangle" is one of the two places on earth that a magnetic compass does point towards true north. Normally it points toward magnetic north. The difference between the two is known as compass variation. The amount of variation changes by as much as 20 degrees as one circumnavigates the earth. If this is the case and a compass variation or error is not compensated for, a navigator could find himself far off course and in deep trouble.Methane gas can also crash planes. The less dense air causes planes to lose lift. Also, the altimeter of planes (the instrument that measures the altitude) functions on the density of air. Because methane is less dense, the altimeter assumes the plane is climbing.
